Takoyaki - Surprise Crunch Stick (Japan) I don't know what the real name of this snack is since the wrapper is in Japanese. The cartoon packaging led me to this purchase. When I bought this, I had a good idea it wasn't going to be a candy or sweet, but It was inexpensive, so it was a great gag item to throw in with a variety of other foreign candy. Someone will undoubtedly want to try it, thinking it's a sweet snack. This spicy, possibly squid flavored, crunch stick wasn't a big hit with the family. My brother described it as a spicy snack stick made up of the same base as Captain Crunch cereal coated with sea spices. It's definitely not candy. |
