Ice Cream Man Candy I remember the ice cream man driving through the suburban neighborhoods since the 1970s. Our ice cream man, Mr. Joe, would give the kids free candy if they could make a basketball '3-point shot' from one side of the street to the other. Often, Tattoo gum was the prize. In addition to the tattoo gum, the ice cream man had a variety of other candy that wasn't found easily, anyplace else.
